Estelle Batist talks about the creation of positive experiences in architecture projects: “The focus of a design can often be directed towards functionality and structure. We believe there is a need for something extra; for a sense of place. And that is why experience is so important in our designs.

We envision how people will experience their environment. We think about how they move through a space and what they discover along the way. To create a feeling of change and wonder we play with perspectives, light, shadow and transparency. We involve the senses like sight, sound, smell and tactility to broaden the variety of the experience. Sometimes bold, sometimes sub-conscientious, we aim to engage, inspire or activate people.

Experience is essential in any design. It allows us to connect to a bigger story and to create meaningful places. Places that truly bring something positive.”
