Two large, vibrant atriums will soon form the beating heart of Royal HaskoningDHV’s new office in Delft. A place full of light and air—where you can pause with a coffee, run into someone by chance, or collaborate on sustainable solutions for the future. Here, employees, clients, TU students, entrepreneurs and pioneers come together. In a relaxed atmosphere that invites boundless collaboration and fresh thinking.

This semester, we had the pleasure of welcoming four talented interns who each brought curiosity, energy, and a fresh perspective to our practice. From the very beginning, they became part of the team — joining project visits, stepping onto construction sites, assisting with photoshoots, and contributing to design work across different phases. It was inspiring to see how quickly they embraced the full spectrum of our daily practice.

Unilever’s new workplace in Rotterdam redefines what it means to work in the heart of the city. The design reimagines the office as a single sculptural floorplate wrapped around a central atrium, with green oases, layered graphics and unexpected amenities.

On November 28th we welcomed 20 enthusiastic students during our in-house day.

For AIHR the priority was staying in the Millennium Tower with its panoramic views of Rotterdam. By moving to a higher floor we transformed their space into a vibrant, cinematic experience. Inspired by Tokyo’s scale-up energy, digitalism, and the neon-lit world of Blade Runner, the new office boldly reflects AIHR’s future-facing vision.

Yesterday, we welcomed a selected group of enthusiastic young project developers for a tour of our most sustainable and innovative R&D buildings on the WUR Campus in Wageningen.

The new sustainable pavilion for the Werkzaak Rivierenland LeerLab in Geldermalsen was festively opened last Friday. The project provides a high ‘social return’: it is a building for people, built by people.

Queen Máxima officially opened the headquarters of dsm-firmenich. She attended the ceremony and was given a building tour, where many employees and project partners welcomed her.

It is evident that the way of building will undergo significant changes in the coming years. The current approach to resources and energy is not sustainable, compelling us to seek new possibilities and new ways of collaboration.

Since 2014 the Dutch Architects Title Act makes the completion of a professional traineeship (BEP) mandatory for all graduates from University to obtain the Architects’ title.

The judges commented that competition was tough, highlighting that sustainable architecture is on a rise in South Africa.
