Merle Marissing joined the thematic roundtable hosted by ‘The Architect’, delving into the theme ‘The Working City: From Office to Workplace’.
We participated in a thematic roundtable organised by ‘The Architect’ magazine to delve into the topic of ‘The Working City: From Office to Workplace.’ After a series of statements, an engaging discussion unfolded.
Post-coronavirus, there is a diminishing desire among commuters to travel. Thankfully, the era has passed when living and working were intentionally kept apart. Simultaneously, the pressure on the housing market is so high that work – especially manufacturing – is being pushed out of the city. How can we ensure that the city retains its vibrancy? And how do we design offices that workers leave their homes for?
The participants in the discussion included: Odette Ex (EX Interiors), Caro van de Venne(NUDUS), Merle van Marissing (Fokkema & Partners Architecten), Alexander Pols (Kollhoff&Pols architecten), Willem Wopereis(HofmanDujardin), Dorte Kristensen (atelier PRO architects), Gert Kwekkeboom (Civic – Public Architecture) en Albert Herder(Studioninedots).
