The surrounding landscape of Krimpen aan den IJssel featured in its council chamber

Flexibility fits the new way of working in the City Hall, which translates to a large diversity of workplaces and ways to arrange various spaces. Special attention to the design has been paid to the council chamber which also serves as a wedding hall. The arrangement of the joinery items in combination with the friendly atmosphere makes it easy to combine both functionalities. To link the interior design of the hall to the municipality, Fokkema & Partners designed a special acoustic tapestry in collaboration with Horizon Creative, demonstrating the surrounding landscape of Krimpen aan den IJssel.
